Parch Ddr | Revd Dr Kevin Ellis

I want to wish you a very happy Christmas and a peace-filled 2025. I realise that church wise 2025 will not begin in the way you expect. I will be leaving Bro Madryn in February. My last Sunday in the MA will be on 9 February 2025. I will preside at a simple Eucharist in St Mary’s Church, Morfa Nefyn in the afternoon. The Archdeacon will be present and will preach. No other service will be cancelled that day. I have made it a hallmark of my incumbency to try and keep as many services as possible and would not want to change that on my last day. I would be pleased if members of the MAC would come along and of course all in Bro Madryn are welcome should they be able to.

My licensing as vicar of Bro Celynnin will take place on Sunday 23 February at 4pm at St Mary’s Church in Conwy. Whilst I would be delighted to see people, it is more important to me that Bro Madryn continues to worship as it is used to.

I will miss Bro Madryn deeply. In many ways it feels like we have just begun. Sometimes however journeys end sooner than we think, but that is fine because God remains constant; I trust you will continue to flourish and grow, and also that what I have offered that is from God will continue to rest amongst you. I am delighted people have found faith in Jesus Christ; and you as a group have rebuilt my faith in the fact that God can use ordinary people like you and me to do extraordinary things.

May God Bless you all very richly
